Making A Difference Every Day
Each day, volunteers help deliver the high quality, compassionate care that our animals deserve. Many volunteers work directly with our animals, nurturing them or providing physical therapy. Some volunteers prefer to organize fundraisers to raise funds to purchase the food and medicine our animals so desperately need. Others perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and answering telephones. Some volunteers are lab students who work with animals as part of their veterinarian studies. At PAWS, we work hard to match your interests with a volunteer position that is right for you.
Volunteers at PAWS range from retired residents, who want to contribute years of knowledge and valuable work experience, to young people who want to get a head start on a rewarding career. As different as our volunteers are, they do share important qualities: they are caring, compassionate and willing to help others.
Benefits of volunteering
At PAWS, you will meet new people, make new friends, and have exciting experiences. And, at the end of the day, you'll get the biggest reward of all - knowing that you helped animals that need you. Other benefits include school references, awards for exceptional service, and educational knowledge.
