THANK YOU to the teachers and children of local schools for sponsoring our animals and birds. Students in the following classrooms raised money on their own to pay for sponsorship packages. All proceeds are used to purchase food and medicine for our injured animals. If you would like to be a part of such a rewarding experience, please participate by sponsoring an animal. Click here to find out how.

DID YOU KNOW that PAWS brings its live animal ambassadors to various schools and civic groups? Yes! An educational program, called Wildlife Encounters, introduces participants to the diverse species of animals found in North Carolina and how they can co-exist peacefully with wildlife. PAWS can tailor a program to meet your specific native wildlife interests. To learn more, please contact us.

In the meantime, click on the names of our participants and see what they had to say about our programs!

Who Are We?

We are very territorial and protective. We will do whatever it takes to guard our nests and mates. We tend to be quite loud, which may annoy neighbors!

Can you guess who we are? Play our voices and let us know who you think we are.
